Board of Directors
Sourav Mukherjee
Founder and CEO of Netscribes
Sourav was formerly the Finance Editor of The Economic Times, the world’s third largest financial daily and a part of India’s largest media house, The Times Group. During his 10-year stint, Sourav drove financial and industry sector news and research coverage, and strategic initiatives like building in-house databases and structuring products. He was also responsible for recruiting and training personnel and managing large teams of writers, analysts and researchers. Prior to joining The Economic Times, Sourav was involved in business reporting with The ABP Group of Publications, eastern India’s largest publishing firm, and teaching English at graduate and post-graduate levels.
He holds an M.A. degree in English Literature with specialization in Medieval European classics and is a National Educational Trust qualified lecturer.
Ramanan Raghavendran
Co-founder and Managing Partner of Kubera Partners
Ramanan is the Co-founder and Managing Partner of Kubera Partners, a private equity firm that invests in cross border businesses. Prior to founding Kubera, Ramanan led the cross border investing effort at TH Lee Putnam Ventures as a senior partner (and continues to oversee the THLPV portfolio). He was formerly a senior partner at Insight Venture Partners, where he invested in business process outsourcing and enterprise software companies, including cross border investing via ConnectCapital, an Insight affiliate. Prior to joining Insight, Ramanan was a senior member of the investment team at General Atlantic, where he initiated the Internet-related investment effort and also led sector efforts in technology services and enterprise software. Ramanan began his professional career at McKinsey & Company in New York and London.
He is the Chairman of the advisory board of Magic Bus (www.magicbusindia.org), a Mumbai-based charitable organization that uses innovative techniques to assist some of the most “at-risk” children in Mumbai. He is a member of the advisory board of the Center for the Advanced Study of India at the University of Pennsylvania, the only research institution in the United States dedicated to the study of contemporary India. Ramanan also co-founded Impact Partners, the first venture philanthropy entity in India.
He holds a B.S. in finance from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School and a B.S.E. in Computer Science from the University of Pennsylvania’s Moore School of Engineering. Investors
Insight Venture Partners/ConnectCapital
Insight Venture Partners/ConnectCapital is in the business of building and assisting global companies that leverage the talent available in India. The Indian affiliate of Insight Venture Partners, ConnectCapital, was set up in May 2000 to make private equity investments in outsourcing and services businesses.
Facilities
Netscribes’ 24X7 Delivery Centers are based in Mumbai, India's financial capital, and Kolkata, the gateway city of Eastern India. The Mumbai facility, a 5-minute drive from the Mumbai International Airport, has uninterrupted power supply (2 service providers and generator), internet bandwidth (3 service providers) and telecommunication backup (3 service vendors) to ensure the timely execution of projects. The Kolkata centre is located off Park Street, the prime commercial hub of the city.
Corporate Social Responsibility
Netscribes recognizes the importance of the philanthropic role businesses play in supporting and encouraging the underprivileged and disadvantaged within society. The firm and its associates are, therefore, active contributors to children’s welfare and education programs as well as long-term care for the elderly. At ‘home’, Netscribes’ employees are active volunteers within their respective community service organizations. Netscribes is also an active supporter of relief efforts.
Partnering for the Greater Good
Netscribes is actively involved with various social programs sponsored by GiveIndia.org, a donation platform that allows you to support a cause of your choice from about 100 NGOs. In addition, the firm also provides no-cost design and development support for GiveIndia’s various marketing and promotional needs, including banners and posters. |
